Angelika Huwiler
Managing Director, Pilatus Engineering Zambia
Born and raised in Zambia, to a Zambian mother and Swiss father, Angelika grew up
playing in a heap of building sand and river sand, which from an early age spurred her
interest in property development, architecture, construction, landscape design, furniture
design, and interiors. Angelika grew up at the back of Pilatus, the BMW, MAZDA and
BYD dealership in Zambia, and spent her holiday’s working with automotive technicians,
and fixing vehicles.
Dr. Namukale Chintu
Managing Director, Frontier Markets Advisory
Dr. Namukale Chintu is Managing Director at Frontier Market Consultants, a boutique advisory firm focused on African Frontier market investors, including pension funds, private clients, and corporate investors.
She is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Invesco Asset Management Ltd (FCA regulated), that is part of the Invesco Ltd group with combined assets under management of USD 1.7 trillion.
In her corporate career spanning nearly 20 years, Dr. Chintu was a Senior Banker at EFG Private Bank and prior to that, at UBS Wealth Management; responsible for Private Client coverage in Africa and Central and Eastern European.
Before that, she was Head of Global Proprietary Capital investing at UBS Asset Management. Prior to UBS, she was Co-Head of Africa at Syntaxis Capital and before the 2008 financial crisis, held capital market roles at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers.
She also holds two MScs in Financial Economics and Management Research from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and a BA in Economics from the University of Zambia as a Bank of Zambia Scholar.
Chad Phillips
Business Development Director, Private Wealth, Suntera Global
Chad joined Suntera Global in 2025 as Business Development Director within the Private Wealth team based in Jersey, bringing over 20 years of experience in offshore fiduciary and wealth management.
He specialises in succession and legacy planning, cross-border structuring, and building long-term relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families across Africa and rest of world. Having carried out business across the African continent for many years, Chad combines strategic insight with deep cultural understanding.
Deresh Lawangee
CEO, Asset Management
Deresh Lawangee is the Chief Executive Officer at RISE PROPRIETARY LIMITED.
He graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 2006 with a degree in Actuarial Science.
Deresh also has a Diploma in Actuarial Techniques from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Deresh has provided investment and actuarial consulting services to Retirement Funds and
Social Security funds for over 15 years, both locally and overseas.
Claire Machin
Group Director, Private Wealth, Suntera Global
Claire started out in the trust and corporate services industry over 30 years ago prior to joining Suntera in 2010. Claire is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and was appointed to the board of Suntera Jersey in January 2017 and in September 2019, Claire was appointed as a Group Director of Suntera Global. She also won the Citywealth Trustee of the Year award for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man in 2019 and silver in the 2022 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards in the ‘Woman of the Year – Leadership – Financial Organisation (CEO/Board Member)’ category and she won the Citywealth Editor’s Choice Award in 2024.
Mark Lüring

Mark Arne Horst Jude Lüring is a Zambian–German business executive, qualified lawyer, and board director with more than 20 years of international experience across law, banking, infrastructure, and corporate leadership. Born in Lusaka, Zambia, he holds dual Zambian and German citizenship.
He was admitted to the German Bar in 2001 after studying law in Mainz, Germany, and London, United Kingdom, and later obtained an Executive MBA through a tri-continental programme in Germany, China, and the United States. His early career included mergers and acquisitions advisory work at Linklaters, Oppenhoff & Rädler in Frankfurt, followed by senior legal and commercial leadership roles at General Motors Europe.
Rashmi Sharma
CEO, Jewel of Africa Ltd
Ms Rashmi Sharma is a shareholder and CEO of Jewel of Africa LTD and Jewel of Africa LLC in the USA (incorporated in 2009), a Bsc in Mathematics and Computer Science, a fellow of the Gemological Association of Great Britain (FGA), the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Jewellery Council and a member of the Diamond Club in South Africa. Rashmi holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
She is the leader in the design team, and is a qualified international appraiser of jewellery.

Saif Ahmedi

Saif Ahmedi is a seasoned financial services professional with over two decades of experience. He is currently a Partner at DeaconCapital Management in London, specialising in wealth management and advisory services.
Previously, Saif served as Chief Investment Officer for GWM London Ltd and GWM AG in Switzerland, playing a key role in establishing and expanding the group’s operations. He helped set up the Zurich office in 2012 and later launched the London arm in 2017, securing regulatory licensing and developing the UK proposition. He built portfolio management desks in both locations, focusing on discretionary and advisory investment capabilities, client acquisition, and business development.
